How to Request Deletion

To delete your Pledgely account and associated data, please email us at:

Please send the deletion request from your registered email address so we can verify your identity and process your request securely.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we will remove:

  • Your account credentials: Email address and password
  • Personal information: Name, profile data, and preferences
  • Activity monitoring records: Violation records and monitoring data (after any active billing disputes are resolved)
  • Device associations: All registered devices and their information
  • Active pledges: All pledge configurations will be deactivated

What We Must Retain

Due to legal and regulatory requirements, some data must be retained:

  • Financial transaction records: We are legally required to retain billing and payment records for 7 years to comply with UK and EU tax regulations. This data will be anonymized after your account deletion, removing your name and email address while retaining only transaction amounts and dates.
  • Dispute records: If there are active billing disputes or chargebacks, relevant records may be retained until the dispute is resolved (typically up to 120 days).

Timeline

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

Please note that some data may be retained longer where we have a legal obligation (such as financial records) or legitimate interest (such as resolving active billing disputes or payment chargebacks).

Before You Delete

Please be aware that account deletion is permanent and irreversible:

  • You will not be able to sign in or access your account
  • All your progress and history will be lost
  • Active pledges will be cancelled (you won't be charged for future violations)
  • You cannot recover your account after deletion
  • Any pending charges for violations during your active billing cycle may still be processed
