Request deletion of your Pledgely account and associated personal data.

How to Request Deletion

On iOS: open the Pledgely app and go to Account → Delete Account, then follow the prompts. You'll be signed out immediately and your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion.

On Android: email us to request deletion at:

Subject: "Account Deletion Request"

Please send the request from your registered email address so we can verify your identity. Both methods follow the same process described below.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we will remove:

  • Your account credentials: Email address and password
  • Personal information: Name, profile data, and preferences
  • Activity monitoring records: Violation records and monitoring data (after any active billing disputes are resolved)
  • Device associations: All registered devices and their information
  • Active pledges: All pledge configurations will be deactivated

What We Keep, and For How Long

We retain your data for a limited window after a deletion request, then erase it permanently:

  • Fraud & dispute window: To defend against payment disputes and chargebacks, we keep your records (including blocker-deactivation logs and your name and email) for up to 120 days after your deletion request. Once this window passes, your data is permanently erased.
  • Payment processor records: Records of completed payments are held by our payment processor (Stripe) to meet their own legal and tax-record obligations, independently of Pledgely.

Timeline

When you request deletion you are signed out immediately and can no longer sign in. Any active pledge cycle is allowed to settle first (within 24 hours), and your account and data are then permanently erased within 120 days of your request.

We keep data during this window only for fraud prevention and resolving payment disputes or chargebacks.

Before You Delete

Please be aware that account deletion is permanent and irreversible:

  • You will not be able to sign in or access your account
  • All your progress and history will be lost
  • Your pledge will be stopped — no new pledge cycles will start after you delete
  • You cannot recover your account after deletion
  • Your current pledge cycle still settles normally: if you deactivated the blocker during it, that charge will still be processed

  • Pause your pledge: Temporarily disable monitoring without losing your account
  • Adjust settings: Modify your pledge amount or monitoring preferences
